Privacy

Your moments stay on your device. There is no account, and nothing you add is uploaded to us.

What stays on your device

Photos, videos, voice notes, notes, captions and story titles are saved only in your browser’s storage on the phone, tablet or computer you’re using. We don’t have a server that receives them, so we can’t see, share or sell them.

Location

When you add a moment, MyMomentKeeper asks your device for your approximate location and saves it with that moment, rounded to roughly a city block. It stays on your device with the rest of your story. You can say no, and the app works the same without it.

Voice transcripts

Transcripts use the speech recognition built into your browser. Depending on the browser, your device may send the audio to the browser maker (for example Apple or Google) to turn it into text. The recording itself is saved only on your device.

Backups and exports

When you back up or export, MyMomentKeeper makes a .zip file on your device. You decide where it goes, such as Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop or email, and that service’s own privacy terms then apply to the copy you send.

Deleting your stories

Delete a moment or story inside the app at any time. Removing the app from your Home Screen, or clearing this site’s data in your browser settings, deletes everything stored on that device, so make a backup first if you want to keep it.
